Board Game Upgrades & Components

About DapperGames

I've been playing board games for over 30 years and co-owned a local game store for several years. I create or find the upgrades and components I actually want for my own collection - things that help my games last longer and make them special to play. When I sleeve my cards, upgrade storage, or add weight to components, it's because I want my games to feel complete and cared for. If these products work for me, I figure they might work for other folks who feel the same way about their games.

DapperGames is a small operation - just a couple of us making things we use ourselves and sharing them with the community. Powered by a few 3D Printers and a small warehouse space.

The original Kinfire Delve insert works fine if you're not sleeving your cards. But if you're like me, you sleeve everything - it's just how you take care of games you want to keep playing for years. This insert is designed with sleeved cards in mind.

It fits any of the three Kinfire Delve games (Scorn's Stockade, Vainglory's Grotto, and Callous' Lab), organizes your components better than the stock insert, and adds a bit of visual interest with the dark galaxy filament. The texture and color fit the mood of the game, and it just feels right when you open the box. Everything has its place - the counters, dice, proof of purchase, all the original components. The compartments have ramped scoops so you can actually get your pieces out without having to dump everything. There's a cutout for the card slot so you can lift them out easily.

Because sleeved cards are taller than unsleeved ones, the insert adds about 13mm of lift to the box. The lid won't sit flush - it'll rest on top with a small gap, which is pretty common with aftermarket inserts designed for sleeved cards. Everything stays secure and the box closes properly, it just sits a bit higher.

Kinfire Delve is created by Incredible Dream. This insert is a third-party upgrade - not official merchandise or licensed product. I'm not affiliated with Incredible Dream, just a fan of their game who wanted a better way to store it. If you don't own Kinfire Delve yet, you should check it out - it's a great game that deserves the care and upgrades. For reference, the photo at left shows the original insert that comes with the game. It's functional but wasn't designed with sleeved cards in mind.

Our Story

For several years, I co-owned a local game store here in Fort Wayne. We built a community around the games we loved - hosting events, curating our selection, and getting to know players who cared as much about their hobby as we did. Running that store taught me what gamers really want: quality components, thoughtful upgrades, and products that respect the games they're designed for.

Now I'm creating and sharing the kinds of upgrades I've always wanted for my own collection. Same philosophy, just a different format.

About 3D Printing

For our 3D printed products: If you've never handled a 3D printed item before, here's what to expect. You'll see texture from the printing process - subtle lines where each layer was added. Sometimes there are minor variations in color or very slight surface marks. The base might not be perfectly smooth. None of this affects how the product works, but it's part of how these are made.

If you're expecting something that looks injection-molded or mass-produced, this isn't that. These are made individually in small batches, and you'll see the evidence of that process. I think it adds character, but I want you to know what you're getting.
